• Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia), a former nurse and Nathan's younger brother. He has the ability to temporarily mimic the powers of others when in close proximity. He also experiences clairvoyant dreams of an unknown nature.
• Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), the son of D.L. and Niki. He is a child prodigy and has an unspecified power that, so far, he has only used to temporarily repair an out-of-order pay phone.
• Niki Sanders (Ali Larter), a woman from Las Vegas with an unrestrained alternate personality. When this other personality, which identifies herself as being Niki's dead sister, Jessica, takes over, she exhibits superhuman strength.
• Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), a genetics professor from India who travels to New York to investigate the death of his father, Chandra. Through his investigations, he comes into contact with people from his father's list who possess superhuman abilities.
