Cast:
Josh Hartnett... Officer Dwight 'Bucky' Bleichert
Scarlett Johansson... Kay Lake
Aaron Eckhart... Sgt. Leland 'Lee' Blanchard
Hilary Swank…Madeleine Linscott
Mia Kirshner... Elizabeth Short
Running Time: 121 minutes
MPAA: Rated R for strong violence, some grisly images, sexual content and language
Set in the 1940’s 2 LAPD try to solve the homicide case of Elizabeth Short.
I can’t even go into plot details regarding this film, what I can say is that you will undoubtedly forget what the movie is supposed to be about. The film is not based only on the Short case but the relationship between Bucky, Lee and Kay. If you go into this movie expecting to learn about the Black Dahlia it’s not really going to happen but if you go into the film expecting 2 different plots to intertwine slightly you may or may not like the film but at least you’ll be somewhat prepared. I thought it was semi entertaining but not something I would watch again. 2 stars
