MPAA: R for strong violence, gore and nudity.

Plot: While getting ready to close shop and leave town 3 police officers at a remote sherrifs station encounter a boy covered in blood.
While investigating the identity of the boy they stumble upon some disturbing evidence and mysterious things strt to happen.

Can't get into the plot much more than that but this movie bugged me out. It was literally a bloodbath with some suspense and lots of guessing.
I will say there are some things about the movie that left me confused especially the purpose of the boy being there in the first place.
3 1/2 stars

I know what you mean about the movie being confusing, but it was really a good movie. You cant really give a good recap of the movie because its like you hardly know anything about the movie. I have watched this dvd about 3 times and I still didnt fully get the movie, I have read over a few reviews and such and they kinda cleared a lot up for me.

To me it was frustrating because I got everything else other than why they picked that day to come out and make the living pay. It was never discussed and that pissed me off, they give an explanation for everything other than that.

How did you like the ending?

I thought that the boy came back because some people killed him and now that all the police officers where leaving that maybe he thought they were forgetting what was done to him so he came back to haunt them. But then you have all those flashbacks, to like the men rapping and hanging that girl in the woods. I thought that maybe he was death and we was getting revenage from all the people that was killed there. Another but and you have that old lady that had all them dead bodies set up in her house, what was all that about. The ending got me really stumped on this movie, who was the black thing? Why did it/he/she kill the boy dripping in all the blood? Was that a hent at a part 2? If so where is part 2? Maybe if there was a part 2 they could tie up some loose ends that seemed to stump us in the first one. I mean you now have the boy/girl whatever it was that came along and and killed blood boy. Is the black thing the old lady that had all the dead bodies in her house?

WARNING ****MORE SPOILERS BELOW

The old lady felt that the dam was responsible for her husband and daughter's death so at that point she started to kidnap and kill everyone that was related to the people who were responsible for the building of the dam, the bodies in her house were theirs. The bloody boy was a composite of all the people that the old lady killed, like he was made up of pieces of their tortured souls..... his purpose for being there was to make sure she was caught and murdered, the thing that kills him at the end is assumedly the old lady. What I dont understand was why was the other guy present, the one who killed the cops??? I also would like to know where in the heck part 2 is because this movie was left so open ended it wasnt even funny! FRUSTATION!!!!!!!

yeah I know the ending was like oh what next and then bam it goes off. So they really left an open end there and a part two would fit and flow right alone just fine because they never closed out the first one, all you can do is wonder what the heck. Im going to have to watch this again, I really enjoyed the movie because it didnt just flat out say ok here are the characters, this what their role is in the movie, this and that, and that and that. They dont give you an already figured out script/plot to the movie so you have to work your way along with the movie and there is so much thats just left open that it lets you take your imagination and run wild with the movie.
