This movie is basically a teen remake of the thriller called "Rear Window." The movie is about a teen named Kale who gets house arrested for knocking out his high school teacher. He's been acting up since his father died from a car trip going back home (Kale was the driver, so he blames himself). Being locked up in your house gets boring quickly, so Kale gets his trusty binoculars and spies on all his neighbors. He notices a new neighbor moving in Ashley, and quickly falls in love with her. On the other hand, he notices another mysterious neighbor, whom he believes could be a murderer. He decides to spy on Mr. Turner (played brilliantly by David Morse, who also plays detective Tritter on House) with his pals Ashley and Ronnie, but as things get darker and scarier, should Kale and his pals stop their spy game? Or is it just all in their heads?
The movie is a great thriller filled with superb acting performances by all. My rating is 3.5 out of 5 stars.
