I don’t know why people have been giving the movie such bad reviews, I really enjoyed the movie and Jim Carrey did an awesome job in it. Its not an 10/10 movie but its really an enjoyable movie I would rate it 8/10.
I laughed, jumped and was just so into the movie. I was standing at the little candy machines talking to Julia because you know its 25 cents to get a piece of gum out of them I was like 5-2=3 drop the 5 replace it with a 3 and you get 23 stretching it but its still crazy. The movie really pulls you into it and it holds you there, I found myself becoming obsessed with the number 23.
I have to come to realize that people often see movies with already set expectations and wonder why they tend to hate so many movies. I had no expectations on this movie and went to see it out of pure enjoyment for movies. Which is how I see all movies, people tend to look to hard into movies and try to pull them apart rather then just enjoy them for what they are.
This is not a horror movie or a scary movie, its something that will make you think. The ending had a good twist, the acting was great, the storyline was good, overall everything was pretty good with this movie. I place no movie on a pedestal and enjoy mostly all movies, others should try doing that sometimes.
