Once in a blue moon I'll notice that my local video store is having a sale on used dvd's so I'll look and see if there is anything I want. I'm usually sketchy about buying used because there is no guarantee it will work but the video store has a lifetime guarantee as long as you keep your receipt. Does anyone else buy used dvd's?

I do
I mostly get them off ebay or go around to the local pawn shops and see what they have.

It's not like buying them from a store, I worry about getting ripped off.

I have bought over a 100+ DVDs off ebay and have only had 1 problem so far.

I sent a $20 MO to this seller for The O.C I think and never got it.

That was the first time I paid for something without using paypal and was the last.

But other than that I have had no problems with ebay so far and have been usign it since 2004

yeah you just have to be cautious with you to buy from and there are a lot of people who do take advantage of eBay I have heard a lot of bad stories. But I still take that chance, I just make sure I do a little checking on the seller, pay with paypal, and I never make big purchases, most of the DVDs I win are under $5 and that’s with shipping included. I look for the cheapest DVDs that are brand new and I always ask the sellers questions if the DVD is used, like are there any scratches and stuff on the DVD and or case, I make sure I keep all the emails so incase I do get a bad DVD that was not as stated in the auction I can file my claim and get my money back or something.

Ebay is a good place to buy second hand DVD's but places like a hock shop or pawn shop, really isn't such a good idea. I've bought a two or three from a hock shop and they both got caught in my player, skipped, froze up and just went bezerk so I try and buy new now. Sometimes you can get them pretty cheap at Wal Mart

I buy used DVD's all the time, but mainly from blockbuster or popcorn video, so I know I can take them back if they don't work.
