Speed Racer is based on a 1960's Japanese cartoon. It's gonna be directed by the Wachowski brothers (the same directors of the Matrix), and apparently will have some cool camera tricks just like the Matrix. Looks like this movie will open up Summer 2008. Emile Hirsch will star as Speed X, Susan Surandon as his mom, John Goodman as his father, Matther Fox as Racer X, and Christina Ricci as Trixie. This movie is gonna look sweet.
