What are your thought on this film? Hit or miss? The trailer is pretty non- descript but it is only the first to be released.

I'm a big transformers fan, and saw this trailer when it first came out. From what I heard, when they made the trailer, non of the transformers were designed yet, so they didn't have anything to put on the screen.
Actually, now, you can get a sneak peek at how some of the autobots will look like in robot form. I found some pictures one time on the web, so you'll have to search.

I think it will be the same as the cartoons. From what Michael Bay said and released on his blog, the trailer for the movie has NOTHING to do with the movie. There will be nothing to do with the mars rover. If you've seen the original Transformers and the series premiere of the show, I bet the movie will follow that.
The only difference is the cars won't be the same (Bumblebee is not going to be a Volkswagon Beetle!). I think he's still the smallest character, but he's a race car or something (I have to find those pictures on the web somewhere). Optimus is a fire emblazed truck, and so on. I think the other difference is that humans will help a lot more with the war against the Decepticons. The military will probably try to blow up some of the Decepticons, but they won't have the weapons to stop them.

| Yup, I heard about that too! Can't wait. Bumblebee looks nuts! The view of Optimus (at least the back of his head) was also nuts. I'm gonna be drooling with all the Megan Fox scenes

| LOL. Enjoy those scenes. I'm still trying to figure out if the rumors about product placement (xbox 360, ipod and a cellphone, I think) are true and how they are going to put that into the film.

| Whoa, sweet. Thanks for the trailer Jess. I heard a rumor that bumblebee doesn't talk in the movie. Don't know if thats true though.

Yeah, These pictures are nuts! Bumblebee in robot mode looks insane! I still would have preferred bumblebee to have been a VW beetle, but volkswagon wouldn't allow them to do it, because they thought it the movie would have given the VW beetle a bad image (seen as a war vehicle).

| According the official movie boards for the Transformers film Bumblebee will not be able to talk for at least part of the movie, insdtead he will communicate via radio transmission clips. I don't know and it hasn't been confirmed if this will happen throughout the whole movie.

| Was the movie based on Beast War Transformers? If so, it will be a great movie.... I've always watch beast wars transformer... Very good CGI effects and animation...

| Unfortunately it's not based on the beast wars gang (although they were good too). It is based on the original 1980's series, with Optimus Prime as the truck and bumblebee (well, not the VW bug for legal reasons), and so on.
