For everyone who has seen the complete SAW series, let's discuss how you think Saw IV is going to play out now that Jigsaw is dead?

It has to be either 1 of 2 possibilities. 1, jigsaw is dead, but he taped himself on multiple tapes, and they have to follow the clues on the tape. Or 2, it could be a prequel, or the movie takes place before Jigsaw died, and he was torturing someone else. But we'll see.

I thought it was going to be a prequel too but after watching the films again I realize that there are a number of possibilities that can take place. There are too many unresolved points form the first 3 films. We know that it was never confirmed that Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes), Eric Kramer (Mark Wahlberg) are dead so could they show up? How about Jeff (Angus MacFayden), is he going to be so bitter due to his loss that he goes mental and takes over? Just theories

I'm also thinking we could have a new Jigsaw. Our old Jigsaw (played by Tobin Bell), might have trained another apprentice behind Amanda's back. It could Dr Gordon or Eric, but we'll see.

Not yet. Saw IV will probably be released for Halloween this year.

Dead on MrJanuary, saw IV is set for release on October 31st of this year. I would find it hard to accept anyone other than Tobin Bell as Jigsaw unless he was a farce and was never really Jigsaw in the 1st place.

there are many possibilities like everyone is saying. eric matthews is not dead. i dont think amanda is dead. jigsaw isnt dead. and jeff isnt dead.
if jigsaw did die and hes not in the 4th one i doubt i will go and see it. jigsaw made the movie and without him its not going to be the same.

Jigsaw's throat was slashed he is dead! Logically the only way Jeff's wife would have died is if he did, they made that very clear to the DR. There is no way Amanda survived, remember there was nothing about immortality in these films, it wasnt like Freddy or Jason. I see a prequel in the works or someone else is Jigsaw all together.

| yeah but in scary movies you have to expect the unexpected which tells me that jigsaw is in some way still alive. oh - and what was amanda grabbing for when she was dying? was it the gun?

I'll be honest and say I'm not sure I only saw the movie in the theaters and have yet to rewatch it, I'm sure one of our other members can help you with that. (I think it was the gun)
Expecting the unexpected is one thing but I can't see any way that Jigsaw is still alive unless you want to hit the theories that Tobin Bell was just a front for someone else.

| they are prolly gonna come out with saw the beginning after saw 4. like i said i just dont know if i am gonna see the 4th one if jigsaw isnt in it. they are going to totally bomb on this next one if hes dead.

I'm also thinking there could be some plot twist, like Jigsaw had a twin brother. And his twin brother is so pissed his brother is dead he decides to become Jigsaw himself.

It depends on who you ask princess. We have a review up under horror and everyone liked it, I have yet to add my thoughts to the review but I belive I may be one of the few that didnt like it.

Found some info about this movie via Yahoo movies. Here's the official description taken from Yahoo movies: "Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive at the depleted police precinct and help veteran Detective Hoffman sift through Jigsaw's latest grizzly game of victims and piece together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw, is suddenly abducted and thrust into the madman's harrowing game, the officer has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of interconnected traps...or face the deadly consequences."

| I dont know what I think, apart of me thinks they are really dead, but then another part of me thinks that they are not dead, this is Jigsaw so you can never really be sure about anything when it comes down to dealing with him. I know Im looking forward to cathing this installment of the Saw franchise.
