Even as an adult I never get tired of this movie. Bastian is a little boy that feels the only way he can live is to immerse himself in books. When he gets ahold of a book that literally sucks him into the storyline this is when the real adventures begin. The sequels to this movie stunk so don't bother with those.

I agree the sequel stunk but the 1st was excellent. But never grow tired of watching this. Now my son wants to watch this movie all the time. Love that big hairy flying dog (that does look like a dog... right...hehe)

I made my 10 yr old watch it and now she loves it as well. She didn't want to watch it at first because it was something from when I was a kid.

Great movie but hate that it makes me cry every time I watch it. We catch it every time it is on t.v.

I had forgotten about this movie till I starting looking around the site. I remember loving it as a kid. I'm going to have to buy it for my kiddos!

One of my all time favorites!  The first sequel continues the story from the book where the first movie left off, but it just pales in comparison to the original.  and for those that were curious...

*********************SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT**********************

the mother's name that you really can't make out in the movie is Moon Child

Has to be one of my all time favorite movies. I think alot of that is due to the fact I'm such an avid reader though. I often feel like I become part of the books I read.

I really love this movie. Even when I was in my young age I really watch this movie over and over again. 'Coz aside from great story, there's a lot moral lesson you can get.

Funny thing is, I was just telling my mom this afternoon while babysitting my 4 yr. old niece that this is another video which I'd like to get for her. Although I don't remember many details about the movie because it's been so long since I've seen it, I do remember what a wonderful movie it was. A true gem which can be enjoyed by young and old alike.

I thought I was mistaken, I will not comment in this forum until somebody reply that this movie has a flying hairy dog. That's reminds that the movie I like when I was in grade school is "The Never Ending Story"...Now I knoe the title of it...I love that adventure movie...

The neverending story definitely goes on with my list of great classic movies, same as with ET and Star Wars...
