This came out on DVD finally! Lydia has been begging Bobby to buy it. Can't wait to watch it.

From what I gather they rescue this woman from the pool and find out she is a character from a book trying to get back home, but there are creatures determined not to let her.

Just finished watching this. This movie is SUCH an incredible bore. No wonder it bombed completely at the theaters. It is a slow movie...THAT FEELS SLOWER.

This is very much like The Village, which also was a big disappointment from M. Night Shyamalan.

I think we are all seeing that The Sixth Sense was a massive fluke from this director because his movies have been subpar since.

Just my opinion.

Anyone see this movie yet?  I thought this movie was fantastic.  I couldn't understand why it didn't do well in the box office and why the critics didn't like it.  It was different than M Night Shaymalan's other work, no twist ending.  I thought the movie was original and entertaining, and also fresh.   What did everyone else think?

Well, I just finished watching Lady in the Water and really liked it. It took a while to get going, 1st 15 or 20 minutes I was bored, wishing they would hurry. And didn't like the parts where the girl had to translate for her mom, I couldn't quit keep up with so many voices at once. The last 15 or 20 miutes was the best parts.

It would make a great movie if it had more action in it and maybe more of the part where he went under the pool. The story line was great! Just too much bore inbetween.

i wouldnt recommend this movie what so ever. it was very very slow and hard to get into. the best parts were on the previews. it was dull and acting was not great at all. one of the worst movies i have seen in a while. completley shocked that Shaymalan made a bad movie.

Here is my 2 cents on the movie.

Great movie, yes it is kind of slow but its one of those movies where you have to sit down and watch it with no interruptions to appreciate it. I planed on watching this and going to sleep on it, but I couldn't it was just that good to me. It was very original and a very beautiful story.

I think people had set expectations on this and thats a no go for any movie with me, so I tend to like and appreciate movies more than the next person. It was very different from M. Nights other movies, its a bedtime story and if you don't believe (or is that safe to say) then you wont get the story at all. It also had a superhero feel to it, for me. No big bang or twist at the end just a very well acted movie with a wonderful storyline.

The other characters of the movie are very entertaining, especially the Asian mother daughter duo who understand the legend of the Lady better than anyone.
