I really love this recent and sadly overlooked movie from last summer. Computer animation is at a state-of-the-art where it's beginning to be hard to tell the difference from real life. That makes it possible for studios to make cheap but beautiful gems like this one!

Based on a very classic science fiction short story from one of the grand masters of the Golden Age, (Ray Bradbury) this movie shows the danger of time traveling to the past and changing even the smallest detail.

This movie doesn't try to be anything more than it is: A Saturday morning monster flick in the straight ahead genre of "The Creature From the Black Lagoon." What sets it apart is some decent acting, some fun monster fighting, and updated computer animation to fill in the rest.

B-Movie entertainment, 21st century style. I like it.
