Here is a sum up of this movie in 2 words - NOT FUNNY.
This is a terrible sequel to the great original Van Wilder. Without Van, the movie really has not comic leader and Taj just is not that person. He was perfect as one of Van's sidekicks, but as the lead it gets old quickly.
Lots of pretty women in little clothing and English jokes (since the movie is at an English school where Taj is a teaching assistant abroad)
Boring movie. Not sure if I would even recommend renting it.

Van Wilder - The Rise of Taj
Watched this movie the other day, I didnt think it was that bad but it wasnt that good either. I cant recall one time that I laughed at the movie. I was really looking forward to seeing this also and was a little let down by it. Taj could have done so much better but oh well. I would say rent this first if you can.

| I didn't hate, but I didn't love, either. I also, expected so much more, but if you don't have anything better to do, it might be an okay rent.

Van Wilder is really crazy. He is the man from down under. He is the ultimate college kid, and friend too.
I like the film. It made me laugh a lot.

Hi Pawiks,, welcome to the community... Were talking about the sequel of Van Wilder a.k.a rise of taj... 
For me,, Rise of Taj is not that bad.. As many said on this thread, i've expected a lot from this sequel...

Yeah Toinkz. I wouldn't complain. But I guess he really could have done better in the movie. But there are still a lot of it coming, I guess.
