Good family movie, Colin FIrth and Emma Thompson were excellend in their respective roles were great. The nanny could only stay as long as she wasn't wanted and when she was wanted she would have to leave. Her five lessons were quickly and efficiently taught, the children's behaviours were quickly dispatched as was the wrong almost wife.

By the time they needed her it was time for her to leave and she had metamorphosed from something really hard to look at and it was a nice tidy movie that is good family viewing. A rarity.

To me this was just a remake of Mary Poppins. I frankly prefer Mary Poppins to this. It was an okay movie to watch once but not something I'm longing to add to the collection.

Nanny McPhee definately tried to be a modern day Mary Poppins. Although I liked this movie, I couldn't help but think this movie wasn't original in any way or form. The whole idea was conceived from Mary Poppins. I'm definately a person that hates comparing films, but this is just too similar.
