Review: Jim Carrey is great as a stupid looking detective that can outsmart every cop on the case. The best oart was when he goes to the mental institution and plays crazy. "Alrighty then"

I had a moment during this movie when I just laughed out loud, more than one even. Jim Carrey is an idiot, not afraid to look stupid, and does so frequently during this movie. Especially in a tutu folded into a box in the asylum... where he belongs LOL. the second movie is also as funny.
this is a great way to introduce kids to slapstick and broad physical comedy... jim carrey has NO equal in this area, unlike ben stiller he does not make you squirm with uncomfortablility.

| I really enjoyed watching the film. All I know is that he went for an adventure in Africa. That's it. I was too young when I watched the film, and all I can remember is that I was laughing the whole time.

| For me, this is my least favorite movie of Jim Carrey... I don't know why, but I have not liked it the way I liked his other movies... But in fairness, it was funny...

Well, i can say that Jim Carey is one of the most fun to watch comedy actors in hollywood. I reall love the scene where he acted like an animal...

| Ace Ventura really is a master of disguise, and it's almost hard to believe that after almost ten years of stagnation in comedy, this movie came and changed the way that we think about humor.
