Dogma was the 4th film in the view askew universe and was supposed to be the last. written and directed by Kevin Smith, who stars in the film along with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon,Jason Lee, Jason Mewes and countless others. The plot has to do with two fallen angels that have been banned from heaven and banished to Wisconsin destined to spend eternity on earth. They think they have found a way to get back into heaven through a loophole in Catholicism and the only person that can stop them from getting back is a woman  that has lost her faith completely.

FACT: **The comic portrayal of the Catholic Church throughout the movie caused organized protests and much controversy in many countries, which resulted in long delays in releasing it and also at least three serious death threats against Smith.**

IMO, great film with lots of humor.

one of my favorite kevin smith films. very well done and tons of great church and bible puns and moments. My favorite was when Matt Damon and Ben Affleck talk to the nun and convince her that her life is all wrong. very funny!

that is a good part also.
the entire movie is under rated because people just cant get past how purposely offensive it is, which is what makes it so great!

I love this movie. I am a huge fan of Kevin Smith. My favorite part is when they are at the strip club and Jay is trying to convince Silent Bob that he isn't gay. On the DVD there is a deleted scene where Jay and Bob sing the Fat Albert theme song, or well Silent Bob does.

The commentary is also very funny, same thing goes for Mallrats and Clerks 1 and 2, the commentaries are incredible.
