Loosely based on Homer's 'Odyssey', "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" deals with the grotesque adventures of Everett Ulysses McGill and his companions Delmar and Pete in 1930s Mississipi.
Everett (George Clooney), Pete (John Turturro) and Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) have escaped from prison to go and get the "treasure" Everett hid before he went away. The adventure they go on in this movie is hialrious, and everyone they meet is a strange character.
5 stars highly reccommended film.

I agree, 5 out of 5, GREAT soundtrack, we go around singing it, another Holly Hunter role where she is married to a fool (see review of Raising Arizona) and everything that goes awry eventually goes aright.
The real 'treasure' is the journey to prevent her from marrying someone else while her husband is imprisoned, and the scenes along the way, the klan meeting, the town hall meeting, the flood, everything works to resolve every problem they encounter all along. Again John Goodman plays a pivotal role, and I am sure that this is another joel and ethan coen movie.
