I think my husband said the death toll reached 20. This is so sad. I havent watched news today, so not sure. This was a lil further south than us.
Schools here got out at 11 a.m. for elemantary and 11:30 for High School. Bobby picked Lydia up early and carried her to her grandma's. He had an interview.
This is the start of 1 of our Tornado seasons. We have 2 big ones and possible all year.
As soon as I got off work the bottom fell out, I drove like 5 to 20 miles an hour all the way home. No choice but go to bank and cash check so I could get gas to make it home. I live 35 minutes from my work at normal speed 50 -60 miles an hour all the way, lol. A few times i just came to complete stop, water was higher than the car floor. Winds was at 60 mph and higher. That was good for us, they said it started at 100 mph. I stayed at bank a lil while to dry off and wait for a break. Then I sat at the gas station and waited for another break. Under an overpass one time, and middle of the road another. It was bad. I would freak out a lil when the sirens would go off, the radio in my car locked up and too cheap to go get the code. So didnt know if a tornado was coming or what.

Thank yall!
Yeah, it was really sad. They said the kids where in a safe place per safety standards, but sometimes with Mother Nature , there is no safe place.
I think 3 of them that died where in Trailers though. Not all where at the school that was hit.
