One of the biggest recalls of pet food has brought nothing but heartbreak to pet owners all over who have lost their beloved companions because of food tainted with poison. The manufacturers of the foods are now being sued and more and more foods are gettting addec to the list. This morning I threw out 3 bags of biscuits that were literally just added to the list, tg I didnt feed them to my babies. I would suggest all PET OWNERS KEEP A CLOSE EYE on the list since it continues to grow on a daily basis, check the list before u buys treats and before you feed anything that may have been deemed safe a week ago. A link to the constantly updated list can be found here http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=3014675

| I got really lucky because i feed my babies dry iams and although iams is put out by menu foods their dry food is made in their own warehouse so it doesnt go near there. My mom had to throw out alot because she has a picky cavalier that will only eat foood mixed with can and all the cans she bought before the recall came out were tainted, tg she didnt open them.

Here is the link to a great recall info site
http://www.recalls.gov/recent.html
the info on the dog food recalls are under the Foods, Medicines, Cosmetics section (top center).
There is lots of great info on there about all kinds of recalls.

We were lucky, too. Our two feline furballs eat the dry Iams for multiple cats and my grandmother's Fancy Feast, so they were in the clear. I feel so bad for all those "moms and dads" of furbabies who were poisoned by the tainted food and as a result died. They have discovered that many earlier pet deaths that were originally attributed to other causes actually were the result of the tainted food. It would have broken our hearts if ours had been among them, even if they do drive us nuts at times! LOL!

| That is true. Since my little angle eats Iams, she's good for now, but I know people who haven't been so lucky.
