During the summer Lydia finds all the local Churches that have VBS. This 1 is a Church of Christ. They invited me to a class called Fascinating Womanhood, we studied the book with that name by Helen Andelin.
This book is mainly Christian based, but I believe all woman could get a lot out of it. I was going thru a rough period in my marriage and was thinking bad things. This calss came just in time!! The book offers up some pretty sound advice and some nice lil tips and tricks you don't find in all the mags with articles on spicing things up.
Its a pretty huge paperback, but a few things I can think of I got out of it. Why men fuss over their wives not wearing regular clothes. Like I got in a slump one time, I got dressed with daily clothes like 1 time a week,lol. If I wasn't going anywhere, why put clothes on??? My husband started to make comments on it. All that did was hurt my feelings,lol. Thinking he didnt find me atractive any more or something. The book explains Men are lke kids at Christmas. They like the pretty package and unwrapping it, even if they already know whats inside. There is more detail in the book!
Sometimes men get to thinking the wives only want them around for the paycheck and the breeding.We ge so busy with the kids and the house and stuff, and only pay atention on paydays or bedtime So it gives tips and tricks of including him in things.If you have a t.v. /movie adict like mine,keep it simple!!! Let him open a jar for you or a drink, then comment how great it was he was here to do that. Lots more in the book! lol, key is to brag whenever you get a chance, if you are a clown like me, practice alone first!! No laughing when you get mushy! And you don't want it to sound forced.
Get the kids involved!! Make them say thank you to daddy more often. Men need to feel apreciated by all in the house.
I could go on and on! lol, Was a really good book and gave some pretty great advice.This book gives you tips on every day life to live by, not just one night quick fixes like Cosmo and other mags that just help with that one special night.
