Most people know that I watch 3-6 movies a week and try to write as many reviews as I can. This movie is SO powerful, it is hard to put into words.
For the entire 2 hours I was rivited to the movie. Forest Whitaker COMPLETELY deserved the award for best actor. I did not see anything even close to this type of acting in any other movie from last year. AFTER the movie finished I was emotionally drained, while at the same time completely wired.

This is a masterpiece of acting.
The film makers have made this movie so enjoyable to watch, that you almost forget for most of the begining of the movie what an incredible monster Amin was and that he killed over 300,000 people. Seriously, in the begining 1/2 of the movie you are so taken by Whitaker's charisma playing the character that you actually like him, are rooting for him, etc. BUT what makes this an acting job that will never ever be forgotten is how much you fear and loath him just a little while later. Whitaker will be hard pressed TO EVER TOP this acting performance for the rest of his career, and if this is his best - then he has done very well.

Run out and rent this movie and then take the time to do the research about how terrible a monster Amin really was, but also learn about how popular he was in the begining. Just an incredible story.

WOW is all I can say...WOW
