This movie has almost every genre in it but I guess you could classify it as action. Damn, it's hard to even describe this film other than incredibly weird and disturbing in an interesting way. A lot of maim and torture but not very much blood is seen. DH loved it and I'm still debating, it kept me interested but I don't know how much I liked it.

I must say, this film highly impressed me.  I was a fan of the comic long before there was ever any talk about there being a film, so I was skeptical about how true to the comic it would be.  Let me just say I was pleasantly surprised, to find it almost exactly the way the comics were written.  I'd have to say that this movie has been the most accurate translation from one format into film that I can think of.  That being said, the movie was just freakin awesome, plain and simple.

This movie was fantastic. The animation was just spellbinding. I can't believe this whole movie was done in front of a green screen. Can't wait for Sin City 2 to come out in 2008.

This movie is one of our family favorites and it will probably always be somewhere in the top 25.

Why? Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Benicio Del Toro, Rosario Dawson, Brittany Murphy, Micheal Clark Duncan, Carla Gugino, Jessica Alba, Elijah Wood and Clive Owen to name a few... the pieces of this vast sprawling murder mystery/timejumping/sci-fi/ romantic epic grrrrl power adventure movie all fall together by the end in a way that does not pander to cheap tricks or typical hollywood feel good endings. The makeup, cinematography and story line are exceptional as are the directing and acting on everyone's part.

I rank this movie with L.A. Confidential and Pulp Fiction because of the intricacy of the plot and the greatness of the cast.
