I usually don't do musicals, but this one was great. It was set back in prohibition times in the South. 2 friends since boyhood, 1 smart gangstars son and one morticians son, both musically inclined. The one gangstar son Rooster was great preformer, loved being on stage. The other boy, Percival was nervous and shy and would toss his cookies at the thought of preforming. They both worked in a club called "The Church" Rooster had 5 kids and was messing around with the bosses woman. Percival fell in love with a gal that came by false pretenses. She was pretening to be "Angel" who was reall Patty Label. But Angel was not dicovered yet, so she got stage frght her 1st night and Percival had to bring it out of her.
Macy Gray was one of the preformers at the Church as well playing as Taffy, Ving Rahms was Roosters dad.
Music was by "Outkast"

| most musical film bored me, but this one looks nice. i might try watching it.
