Jet Li is Huo Yuanjia (1869-1910), the chinese martial arts master and founder of Jin Wu Sports Federation in the story of his life. As a boy Huo's father did not allow him to practice wushu, yet he did everyday. When his father died he became a master consumed with winning respect back to his family name by fighting everyone that challenged him. After finding out that one of his students has been beaten by another master, he challenges and defeats Master Chin only to have revenge taken upon his family so he leaves Tianjin for years. After making the discovery that the true enemy lies within and he should be using his skill to unite his people. This was an incredible movie and not only for martial arts fans. In Jet Li's LAST martial arts film, he gives his best performance more versatile than any other role he has played. There was very limited cg used so most of the action scenes are not altered.
