Hi Shorty! Thanks for the kind welcome. Slowly but surely I'm learning the ins and outs of this site. Plus Shorty is a terrific teacher! She hasn't complained once about all of my questions. I look forward to being a part of the group and helping out where needed. I have an extensive background in data processing, graphic arts, and writing, so hopefully there will be plenty for me to do.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, Karen aka Tweetie

Great experience you have there
I know your one of my refund buddies at RS but not sure if we have traded refund stuff in the past? Havent looked at my feedback in quit awhile. Are you passive refunder or agressive? I am passive now days, no time and no forms here.
What is the best refund you ever done? And what is the best premium you have gotten?
My best refund I guess would be one of the $40 wine ones. The best premium was Kool-aid, we got 4 free 6-flags tickets.

***I guess I'm kind of in between. Most of my refunding/couponing I do in order to reduce the cost of items I purchase to go in care packages sent to Pennsylvania soldiers stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. I also try to save money for my family when I can, and donate items elsewhere when I discover super-duper sales.
What is the best refund you ever done? And what is the best premium you have gotten?
***I guess the best single refund deal I've done was for a Senseo (spelling?) pod coffee maker. I bought it online for $50 total and got a $50 debit card through a mail-in rebate. Now I just have to find someone who wants to buy the coffee maker!
***Another terrific one I did was sponsored by Coke and the Olympics. It was an on-line game through which I won oodles of Coke coupons, each one worth 5 free 2 Liter bottles of Coke. The clerks hated them, though, because the bar codes on the coupons were incorrect. When scanned the coupons only rang up as good for 1 free bottle even though it clearly stated on the coupon that it was worth 5 free ones.
***What I really love, tho, is when my bill at CVS totals a whopping $0.10 or $0.20 after using my coupons and Extra Care Bucks, PLUS a bunch of ECBs print out AND I can use something on my receipt for a mail-in rebate. My mom calls me the Coupon Queen, and some clerks cringe when they see her or I coming!

Hey karen, good to meet you.
I remember that coke and olympics promotion. I won 250 2-liter cokes (50 coupons). I gave like 15 coupons away, and used the other 35. It was perfect timing too, when i recieved those coupons. Got them for the hot summer, so those sodas helped me cool down.
Anyways, I hope we can chat some more, and get to know one another. Maybe we can talk via the cBox? If you see me online, don't be scared to say hi to me

Hi, MrJanuary! Nice to meet you, too.
So, from your handle, can I assume I'm chatting with a guy? Or are you a gal interested in a certain Mr. Januaury from a pin-up calendar? LOL!
If you see me online, feel free to leave me a message to let me know you're here. I spend a lot of time doing this and that on my pc, altho lately it's been acting up. What sorts of things are you into. What do you help out with as a moderator here?
Bye for now, Karen aka Tweetie

Will let Julian answer when he returns, just wanted to lyk that it may be awhile.
What kind of stuff are you into with the photo stuff? I play around with photoshop and printshop and all when I get time or money. Got too expensive, everyone wanted me to make them free scrapbooks and stuff.

I love Adobe PhotoShop and use it all of the time. I even took a college internet course to learn more about the program. I am pretty good at it, but I fully realize the program can do so much more.
I'm always making cards and signs for friends and family or fun stuff for my niece to cut out and color. I also use it to make tags and headers for craft items I make. One of my main uses for it is to make cards at the holidays to include in care packages sent off to soldiers stationed in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I think this year for Easter I made over 80! I have fun altering and/or combining images realistically. I'm good at it, too! LOL! Unfortunately, since most of the images I use are "borrowed" from Google, I can't legally sell 99% oif what I design.

| Tweety is a sweetie I like him too. I do not have any pictures on my pc that I can use so I try to switch them up when I come here to read the great movie reviews to see about what dvds I want to rent or buy. You sound pretty busy that is really nice thing you do there with the military and all, sending hugs and blessings.

Bet you spend a fortune on paper, ink and stamps.

I don't spend that much on paper, ink, and postage. I have an HP DeskJet722C printer that is terrific. It uses a black ink cartridge and a RYB, which is more economical than a printer that uses just one. The cartridges are expensive, BUT they last forever! The printer I had before this went thru them way too fast. What I am in need of are blank envelopes, preferably plain white ones, that are gift card size. (Donations are welcomed! LOL!) They're expensive, but I might be getting some free ones from a local card shop after Mother's Day.

That would be great. I'd gladly reimberse the cost of postage to mail them to me. Sometimes after holidays when stores' change card displays they have envies that they get rid of.
There's an unwritten rule in our family that when giving eachother cards, you do NOT write on the envelope, except maybe a small initial where a stamp could later cover it up. LOL! Can you tell we're frugal PA Dutchman? My sis-in-law just doesn't get it and purposely writes on them. :( *sigh* LOL! Some people!

Hey Karen,
Ya, I'm definately a guy Lets see, what things am I in to? Hmmm, watching movies and television shows for one thing. Other favorites including eating out a lot with friends and eating at many different places. I also like listening to music, mostly alternative pop stuff, like music by Maroon 5 and the Goo Goo Dolls. Lets see, what else? You can find out more about me by chatting with me online sometime, LOL. Hopefully that will be sometime soon

Well, I've learned the hard way never to assume either way. It can create embarrassing situations otherwise. LOL!
I'm afraid I've never heard of Maroon 5 but had heard of the Goo Goo Dolls, altho I'm not familiar with their music. I like almost any music that's good...country, rock, heavy metal. I like Elton John, KISS, BOC, Aeorosmyth, Tim McGraw, Meatloaf, Joshua Kadisen (sp.?), to name a few.
Did you see the new Heroes episode last night (Monday)? My favorite charactor is Hiro. He's such a cutiee!
Gotta run!

| Yeah, I saw Heroes last night!! That episode was great, especially with Peter's duel with Sylar (although Peter got killed, literally). Too bad Isaac died, I was starting to like him. Can't wait for next weeks episode that shows Hiro and Ando seeing the whole future.

It's so odd when you hear Hugh Laurie, who portrays Dr. Gregory House on the tv series House, speak with his British accent. His American accent on the show seems so natural. I believe he's actually done Monty Python types of comedy, as you can see in the attached photos. In the photo on the right, he's portraying Prince George in the Black Adder the Third.
I love his sarcastic, often brutally blunt bedside manner as House. Sometimes ya just wanna whack him with his own cane! LOL!

| LMAO, so true. His accent is amazing, the only reason I knew he was British was because I saw him on Stewart Little. He has done alot of films and comedic sketches with Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), I would love to see him play a mute patient on house.

I'd love to see him as a patient on House. Don't you know the rest of the cast would take great glee in taking revenge on him! I'd foresee lots of enemas and shots for him! LOL!
